a non-traditional wedding cake

One of many non-traditional wedding cakes at this wedding.

Wedding couples of a certain age (early 30s to mid-70s) are more attracted to my style of shooting and the relationship I build with them than twentysomethings. They often have families, sometimes grown. They don’t want video or a team of shooters. They may wish to produce an album of their special day themselves at a time convenient for them. Their requirements are different and so are my services and fees.

A traditional tiered wedding cake for this formal wedding.

All digital. Color, black & white or a mix of the two. No pressure to buy enlarged prints or a custom designed album. Extensive post-production image editing and processing is included. The couple is given all digital files and full permission to print and distribute images as they wish. I am involved as much or as little as they need.

Almost everyone brings a camera and sends snapshots to the bride and groom after the wedding. My couples require a handful of formal group photos organized with a personal touch. Then I step back to shoot candids that completely document the spontaneous intimacy, fun and spirit of their day with their families, their children, sometimes grandchildren and close friends. These are the weddings I love to capture and specialize in.
